SUMMARY:Sun - Spring Dinner and Danish Liberation Day
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a lovely Flag Day Service (dinner is now full) on May 4th celebrating the 80th Danish Liberation Day. \nThe day will start at 11 AM with an English Service where all the Danish organizations in BC will enter the church with their flags in a procession. The service will conclude by laying the flowers from the altar at our replica of ‘Jellingestenen’ honouring all who fell during WWII. \nAn exciting afternoon with good company and good food will start at 1 PM. Dinner is a three-course dinner (salad\, hamburgerryg and dessert). Vegetarian meal will be available if requested. Please reserve your seat by calling the office before April 28th. \nAs this is the 80th Danish Liberation Day we encourage all of you to bring flags that can decorate the table during the dinner. We might even wave with them as we sing some of the traditional Danish liberation songs. \nTo make the day even more special\, there will be special features from the pastor and a choir throughout the day. If you are interested in singing in the choir\, please contact our organist.
