Serving pasta, sauce and frikadeller, 2016

SUM Feast

Once a year we feed the homeless through Surrey Urban Mission. They provide the venue, and we provide frikadeller, pasta, vegetable sauce, cookies, tea & coffee, and people to serve it all. Every year our food is very well received; many of our guests make a point of expressing their appreciation.

We have a wonderful and both physically and emotionally exhausting four hours downtown. Thank you very much to those who bake, cook, serve, and clean or donate money to this event. But most of all, thank you to Surrey Urban Mission and to our guests for providing this opportunity for exercising our faith.

If you would like to participate, please consult our planning page.

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those throughout the world who live and die in poverty or hunger. Give them, through our hands, this day their daily bread; and by our understanding love, give peace and joy. Amen.
