Best of Danish Heritage Cookbook

In 1985 dedicated members of the Auxiliaries to the Surrey and Vancouver Danish Lutheran Churches compiled the wonderful cookbook.

In keeping with our proud Danish culinary heritage, and the demand for more cookbooks, the heritage cookbook was updated in 2004 comprising some of the original recipes from the first book as well as some delicious additions.

The Danish Church has published a hymnal of English translations of Danish hymns. 370 hymns with music. Translations of Danish hymns.

The need for a new English hymnal became apparent when the old hymnals, most of which were the 1949 4th edition, began falling apart. With the input of all five Danish Churches in Canada and the Danish Church in Australia, the hymns were selected as well as melodies that would be printed with the texts. The majority of the hymns are Danish hymns translated into English and the language had to be updated.

After a lot of singing, proof reading and support from organisations and individuals in Canada and Denmark, a new hymnal became a reality.

Translations of other (mainly German) hymns that are well known in Denmark, and popular British/North American hymns. Large, easy to read text, 634 pages, 9 by 7 inches, on-line tune index.
